Your own VPS

Your own VPS: root, a dedicated IPv4, a disk that is yours. Not a shared hosting account. Live plans stay on the VPS page.

Your own VPS means the machine is yours to run. Packages, ports, users, the disk. VGNCloud sells that: root from the first boot, a dedicated IPv4, NVMe. It is not a shared hosting account with a panel user. Live plans stay on the VPS page.

Own, not shared

Shared web hosting is cheaper and enough for a normal site. You get SFTP, SSL, one-click apps. You do not get the kernel. An own VPS is the other shape. Read what a VPS is if the letters are still fuzzy, then VPS vs web hosting if you are choosing.

What "own" includes here

  • Root, or the key you pasted. Nobody else has a sudo on your guest. Linux VPS with root.
  • Your own IPv4. DNS points at it. It survives a reinstall. IPv4.
  • A real virtual machine, not a container that shares a kernel. KVM VPS.
  • A disk we do not snapshot yet. Copy data off before a wipe. Backups.

What own does not include

We do not patch the OS. We do not run the website. If you want us to do that, it is web hosting or managed hosting. Game servers belong on ValueGameNode. Unmanaged Linux VPS is the honest name for this product.
