An ecommerce site is still a website until it is not. Most shops belong on WordPress hosting with WooCommerce. A few need a VPS because the stack left the panel. This page is that split. We host the site. We do not run your checkout, stock, or shipping.
Start on WordPress hosting
WooCommerce is a WordPress plugin. One database is one shop. Product photos fill a 5 GB plan faster than plugins do. Free SSL is included. One-click install is in the Enhance panel. Live sizes are on the WordPress page. We do not sell a separate “WooCommerce-optimised” SKU. Same shared box, larger disk if the library needs it.
Updates on these plans are yours. WordPress can auto-update most of it. If you want us to own updates, that is managed hosting, priced separately.
When the shop needs a machine
- A queue, Redis, Elasticsearch, or a worker that is not “PHP in public_html”.
- A custom storefront that is not WordPress.
- Isolation from other sites on the same shared host.
- You already know how to patch PHP and the guest.
Then the product is a VPS. You install the stack. First login: SSH. Comparison: VPS vs web hosting.
What we will not claim
No magic conversion rate. No DDoS badge we cannot show in the code. No “ecommerce CDN” as a hidden extra. Traffic on shared hosting is not sold as a metered shop pipe. If a listing promises those, it is marketing, not this page.
Move an existing shop
Copy files, export the database, point DNS after you lower TTL. The boring checklist is migrate a website. Test checkout on a hosts-file cutover before you touch public DNS. Mail MX records are the step people skip.
Plans and prices: web hosting, WordPress, VPS. Everything we actually sell: cloud catalogue. One sentence to contact if you want us to name the shelf.
