Upgrade a VPS plan

Upgrade a VPS to a larger plan from billing. No downgrade: the disk cannot shrink. Extra CPU and RAM after a reboot. Live sizes stay on the VPS page.

You can move a VGNCloud VPS to a larger plan. You cannot shrink it. The disk grows only. Extra CPU and RAM apply after a short reboot. Extra disk appears once the machine has restarted. Live sizes stay on the VPS page.

Where you upgrade

From the storefront, signed in: manage the service, then change plan. The path is /upgrade/ with your service id. Do not delete the machine and buy again. Delete does not stop billing. Cancel vs delete.

What is kept

Your IPv4, your hostname, and the data already on the disk. Nothing is reinstalled for a larger plan. That is why guessing small is cheap. How to choose a VPS plan.

What is not offered

A smaller plan. The disk cannot be shrunk to match one. If you outgrew the work, cancel on the storefront and start a new machine later. Immediate cancel does not refund the current period. Copy data off first. We do not take backups yet.

What you still run

After the reboot, you are still root on the same guest. We do not patch it for you. Unmanaged Linux VPS. First login if you are new: CLOUD panel and SSH.

Compare the next size on VPS. The rest of the shop: cloud.
