On a VGNCloud VPS, traffic is metered one way: outbound. Incoming is free and is not counted. The allowance is a number of terabytes on the plan row. Exact figures live on the VPS page so they cannot rot here.
What happens if you go over
You are billed for the extra outbound traffic. The rate printed on the VPS page at the time of writing is โฌ1.30 per extra terabyte, pro rata. The machine is not throttled, not suspended, not cut off. The panel shows what this month has used, so the first you hear of it should not be a surprise invoice โ look at the graph.
What โunlimitedโ on web hosting means
Web hosting plans may show unlimited transfer in the catalogue. That is a fair-use hosting product, not a VPS with the meter turned off. A site that is mostly pages is fine. A video CDN is not what that plan is for. If you are pushing files at VPS scale, buy the VPS and read the meter.
What does not count as a secret extra
We do not sell a โ3 Gbps portโ as a marketing line. We do not promise a DDoS number on this article. We do not hide traffic inside a CLOUD-tax. The plan price is the machine; outbound past the allowance is the line item above.
Cancel stops the meter
If you do not want the machine, cancel on the storefront. That stops billing and removes the VPS. Deleting inside the panel does not. The three buttons.
